Moodle a solution which is distributed under an Open Source license. It is actually an acronym for “Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment”.

The Moodle learning environment is based on constructivist pedagogical principles, with a modular design which facilitates the adding of motivating contents for students. Constructivism states that learning is especially effective when it is performed with the support of others. This type of teaching aims at the student being able to analyze, perform research, collaborate, share, build on and generate basing on what she already knows.
