From the beginning, its growth has been continuous and sharp, positioning itself as the leading website in Latin America. Currently, over 20 thousand veterinarians from 23 Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries in Latin America and Europe update their information and get training from VeterinariosenWeb.

In 2008, VeterinariosenWeb was selected by Learning Review as one of the 12 Latin American success cases in e-Learning implementations.

In November 2010, thanks to the III Latin American Virtual Congress, VeterinariosenWeb reached its visit record: 53.372 visits in only 30 days.

This educational alternative is regionally sponsored by PURINA® PRO PLAN®, leading brand in balanced ration and official sponsor from the birth of VeterinariosenWeb. Currently, the VIP Program scholarship system is implemented in 15 countries and it provides scolarships for over 30 courses which include university certification, have been developed specially for e-Learning and are taught by specialists from different countries.

In 2010, VeterinariosenWeb was present in the main Latin American veterinarian congresses, all along Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Mexico.

Conferences given by important world opinion leaders are continuously recorded and published, with free access for the whole veterinarian community within the domestic animals field.

Live activities are also performed, such as the HOTVET: Let’s talk about orthopedics and veterinarian traumatology, an initiative which synchronically gathers various specialists to perform live consultation of experts. This initiative counts with the support of the UNAM (Universidad autónoma de México) and the important collaboration of the academic staff of the Department of Etiology, Wild Fauna and Laboratory Animals. Along these years, several universities and scientific institutions have provided current contents.

In 2011, after 7 years of experience in the area of domestic animals, the educational initiative has been widened through a new project addressed at professionals in the equine area: www.equinosenweb.com

The first work was the induction course, which is currently taken by every new employee exclusively on a distance fashion

Since then we have worked with Makro in the following projects:

- Setup and Customization of Virtual Campuses in 5 countries of the region
- 48 courses developed
- 75 final hours of courses at the employees’ disposal
- 17 rapid e-Learning courses
- 5 institutional videos

Results statistics:

- 8800 hours of courses taken by students
- 3950 exams passed
- More than 90% satisfaction in polls
- - Less than 15% dropout of employees which begin a course

The “blended learning” method was applied for the training process, with in-person and distance training through a virtual campus.

Tercer Término participated as a partner of this project in distance training, performing the tasks of setup and customization of the virtual campus (Moodle), customer support, communication and follow-up of users, creation and update of audiovisual courses.

To perform such tasks, Tercer Término selected a project leader who was in charge of the internal multidisciplinary team and a two-person back office, devoted to communication management and user follow-up.

More than 250 employees were trained altogether, with a curriculum of over 40 hours of distance training.

SMEs Packetization project

In early 2010, Santander Río intended to implement product packetization for the SMEs field. This product came out under the title “SMEs Packetization” and it will provide training for over 1500 employees all along the country.

The training process had to be carried out in no longer than a month after the launch.

Tercer Término plays an active role as a partner in this project, performing the tasks of setup and customization of the virtual campus (Moodle), customer support, communication and follow-up of users, creation and update of audiovisual courses.

To perform such tasks, Tercer Término selected a project leader who was in charge of the internal multidisciplinary team and a three-person back office, devoted to communication management and user follow-up.

By the end of the process, more than 1800 employees had been trained with a curriculum of over 5 hours of training.

Summary of our work with Exterran Argentina:

Given the lack of a comprehensive and uniform training program and the great distances among employees, the Exterran e-Learning project began in late 2008

The virtual campus was built and launched, in the beginning (mid 2009), with 5 courses: Math, Physics, Standard Upkeep Routine (recorded in El Portón), EPP and Induction, plus the virtual library (a domain for publication of various contents).

During 2009, the Escuelita of Comodoro Rivadavia was fully recorded. This is an in-person 6-week course, taken by 20 to 30 employees every year. The project consisted of transforming all this material into e-Learning format with two main objectives. Firstly, to publish more than 25 brief technical courses in the virtual campus, available to all employees and, secondly, to give the “Escuelita” course in blended modality: theoretical modules in the virtual campus and 4 in-person practical lessons in the city of Neuquén. This course is called “Compressor Plant Operator Diploma” and it includes 6 modules of approximately 10 lessons each.

During the time of the development of these contents, 5 computer tools courses were published in the campus (basic Excel, advanced Excel, basic Word, advanced Word and PowerPoint workshop), as well as the Defensive Driving course, from the QHSE area.

Results statistics:

• 40 courses published for all employees
• Over 25 enrolled in the first edition of the Diploma (the 3 first in-person practical lessons already realized) and more than 15 enrolled in the second edition already.
• Over 1900 courses taken (including passing of exams)
